UCLA wasn't #1 and they weren't the #1 team from the Pac-10 that year.It was a 13 beating a 4, just like San Diego beating UConn and Siena beating Vanderbilt this year. Not exactly the end of the world.

I agree, but I think it has to do with the fact that UCLA is UCLA (11 National Championships, etc.) and Princeton is from the Ivy League.

If you're a team from the IVY league and beat a #1 ranker, #1 team from the Pac-10, UCLA, its a friggin upset.
