You countrys moral ARE dead (along with it;s economy) but that's besides the point. Colbert is indeed funny, witty and quick. I just think he did what he did for sensationalism, you can tewll he was scared shitless while on that stage, fumbling with his lines. I don't think it's wrong to speak your mind about whoever you choose but it's akin to speaking about the Queen or King a publicly dissing them while they are standing 5 feet away that's just in poor taste. Again, that's only my opinion.

You haven't had the fortune to see him out of character? Type 'colbertbiter' into the search bar and click on those interviews from charlie rose. He was out of character for the whole interview (like 30 or 40 minutes) and is a really charming and intelligent guy. If that doesn't work type in colbert schmoozes and choose one of the links.

You must not understand how our constitution works then, we can say whatever we want about the president as long as we don't threaten his life. Once we can't do that then our country's morals are dead.

miko7777777 - You are either young, or very dumb. You don't have to respect a persons position when they themselves are criminals. Yhea, sure; being President deserves respect. But that can be lost very easily after bullshit wars, threats and war crimes. Bush should never even had won to begin with. Now go put some more water in your mothers dish; shes thirsty!

You should not disrespect him because he has been elected (twice) by your people (I am Canadian) and has reached the highest position of power in the free world. For that reason alone and for the position that he holds that of President Of the United States of America, right or wrong he should be respected. It is more the position you should respect than the actual person in it. Think about it a while and see if this makes any sense.

Why shouldn't he be able to disrespect the president to his face? Any other way the president could just ignore it, try writing a letter I'm sure the president will never read it.
