No, I'm pretty sure Pete Rozelle had more to do with "making" the NFL.

dude its because of that ONE win in ONE game that the nfl is what it is today. joe namath and the jets made the nfl.

Now I wasn't born during this time frame but I can only imagine that Joe Namath was the only man who could of pulled this off and not be considered gay. This goes to show that Broadway Joe is the man.

Namath has NO BUSINESS in the Hall of Fame. Look at these career stats:173 TD - 220 INT65.5 career rating (never topped 74.3)Completed only 50.1% of career passes.Only 3 winning seasons in a 13 year career.Only 2 playoff appearances. So I guess as long as you guarantee ONE win in ONE game and don't even throw a TD in that game, you should get into the Hall? The Hall of Fame should be embarrassed that they let this man in.

I can't beleive how controversial this commercial was when it came out. People made such a big deals out of the smallest things. This had to be one of the most clever commercials ever produced.
