Neil Innes sings a protest song for a spoof of The Old Grey Whistle Test, on BBC's Rutland Weekend Television, that originally followed a sketch by the Fabulous Bingo Brothers.Neil Innes was associated with, and Eric Idle part of, the earlier Monty Python's Flying Circus before formulating the now cult Rutland Weekend Television, that featured the Beatles spoof 'The Rutles.'

Watching this(& seeing Neil on his 2006 solo tour)reminds me that for all my love & respect for Viv S.'s brilliance as a performer & musical creator, the Beast of the Bonzos was brilliance x's 2...+ wackiness x's 6, of course.

I have been looking at and enjoying utube for about a year now and it is guys like you who make it possible, so cheers!I was actually in tears at the end of the session. It is quite deep humour with several hidden levels, which I think, sadly, many people would miss if they hadn't been there once upon a time.
