A lot of reels sound increadibly different based on the tempo. I've just started learning to play the Irish Flute, and the only piece I can play successfully (meaning not bloody awful) is the Star of Munster. I've experimented with playing it slow and fast, and I have to say I like both. Most American music you can't do that with, so Irish music has a one up on America. Erin go bragh! |
