I hear ya', it was such a bitchen time, growing up in the 60's & 70's - it was a romantic time. I think I did just that-woke up one day and damn, what the fuck happened, the '80's hit me in the face so hard - for me, I still live like it was then, being cool and not hating anyone, that IS who I am, having lived it, it was free love and hippiedom in So.Calif: LOTS of drugs, sex was still safe, you could go anywhere, anytime, where I was - EVERYBODY was stoned, playing good music, being mellow.

Not at all. Nostalgia has a way of doing some weird things to history but it seems things were far more laid back at that time. Coulda been the drug usage?I wonder... if Americans were actually prepared for the 1980s. Or if they just woke up one day and realized the 70s were gone and never coming back.Sorry. I'm facinated with the time period. :)
