A montage from the first half of "Mott The Hoople - Under Review". This is about 10% of the recently released documentary. Because this DVD is "unauthorized", it's somewhat light on video and heavy on interviews, including a lot of Mick Jones (The Clash) who was part of the Mott Lot as a teen. The DVD includes some great Morgan Fisher Super 8 footage of "Mott in America".See hunter-mott DOT com/discography/under_review.html for semi-official comments.

Hi Ben, I also had tickets for the 1974. In fact, the tour was cancelled 'cos MTH broke up on the eve of the tour.

Fantastic ....my first album ever was MOTT and my second album was THE HOOPLE...I'm staggered to realise that their albums (4 of them !!!) came BEFORE MOTT was released..the song ALL THE YOUNG DUDES being the wave on which the album surfed...hurrah for the visionary that is David Bowie.I had tickets to see them in 1974 but the tour was cancelled because Ian Hunter had 'throat trouble'/exhuastion or some other 'lame rockstar' excuse.I cried, as only a teenage boy can.Only regret ever

ian hunter is a consummate rock star. i saw him play with mick ronson in 1981 and with todd rungren in '82(?) in support of john b. anderson, the independent presidental candidate. anybody else see this tour? i saw it at the agora club in youngstown,ohio...

I've still gots *all* Mott's vinyl. "They wre 'dudes' from the word 'go.'" An important part of R&R hisory, yo.

The most underrated band of all time,I believe there is a movie being made about them.

Ralph's the man BUT Ariel's playing WAS better on Mott the Hoople Live Anniversary Issue (1974) than any time in Mott's history imho...also Morgan, hung with you one night in Tokyo mate, around 1987 (I lived there many years - speak fluent Japanese)...Mott the Hoople is my favorite all-time r&r band of all-time as they absolutely ROCK live!...

Is that Overend at 06.58. Looks like him. as for Ariel/luther being better than Mick, you got to have seen the original line up to understand what a perfect combination they were. Luther is a great player but Mott were never the same after Ralpher left.

I agree, I loved Bill Legend on T-Rex, they were not the same without him. Bolan was a tightwad when paying his band memebers.
