Great post. Love the falsetto in this song. The girl in the front is Kathy Gale. Check her out (with blonde hair) in a Paul Revere/Raiders video on YouTube called 'Out on that Road Again'

There is nothing wrong with the captain. He wears a cap because that's his trademark, nothing to do with being mental.

OMGOSH...I used to watch the Captain and Tenille EVERY WEEK!!!

hahaa.. Captain and Tenille where cool way back when.. Had some good songs too.. I still think Richard Simmons and Leo Sayer are the same people.. Notice how you never see them together? :D

They might seem corny now, but we had alot of great variety shows in the US during the 70's. The Captain & Tennille was no exception. Thanks for posting!

I didn't know what to make of the man with the cap. At first I thought he was in character as a kind of mental - like an eccentric neighbour or embarrassing Uncle. Now I remember seeing him on a TV documentary in the UK - something about 70s entertainers. That just about says it all I suppose - the 70s. Nice song though...

The song is great, but for me the best part of the video is watching the Captain and Toni Tennille at the beginning. Are they not the epitome of great entertainment!!!

This song Hit No. 1 pop and No. 15 R&B and won Best R&B song in 1977!

This song won the grammy for R&B song of the year beating out the Commodores (I want to say Brick House) and Earth Wind and fire.
