This video shows me typing one-fingered without looking at the keyboard. While this does not seem like an extraordinary skill to me, when many people see an autistic person typing one-fingered without looking at the keyboard, they claim that person cannot really be typing. They cite their own inability to do so as proof that this is impossible, despite the fact that they are generally not practiced at this kind of typing. As an autistic person who communicates mainly through typing and sometimes types one-fingered without looking at the keyboard, I set out to prove them wrong. This video is the result. (It's also on my website, if you've seen it before that's where.) This is the captioned version (I just got captioning software and am updating my old videos).

What's that a poster of? Do you sleep in a sleeping bag? I've recently found myself sleeping on a blow up Coleman mattress. It's like flying/lying supine is on those things. Damn, I need a sleeping bag now, methinks.

I sometimes like it that way. Fuzzy, easy to care for, and at some times of year helps to cut down on overheating.

I don't know. I didn't even really know that I was able to do it until I heard someone talk about it as impossible. And I had a QWERTY letterboard and tried it on the letterboard and was totally accurate. Then tried it on a keyboard and had more mistakes but was still pretty accurate, although I noticed my accuracy varies on a keyboard more than it does on a letterboard.
