This song was co-written by John Lennon, who was not a fan of the American obsession with wealth, fame and what he saw as a corrupt system. Don't know that it was aimed at Americans, but I would guess it was considering the writers...

Well its not a fair comparison. Americans dream is a house and a car and some kids. In Europe its more like a castle and a rolls royce.

I remember reading Mick Jaggers wife's book and she said she walked in on David and Mick doing the nasty..Hes still an awesome artist because im right here enjoying his craft..
