I mentally added many people I knew to this. My brother died last June from an overdose, and the song broke my heart.

It's easy to blame the person closest to the deceased. Courtney didn't kill him; he killed himself. Try being the one who is blamed. Just because you like him more than her doesn't make her a killer. For God's sakes she has enough problems!

It's not about respect... It's a realization of the harm drugs can bring... And then realizing all of the people that we've lost due to drug addiction.

The song is good, but showing respect to people like that is wrong. They were drug addicts. Weak people. If you wanna praise someone, praise those in Zimbabwe for trying to stand up to Mugabe. Praise those orphans in Africa for working every hour god sends for a pittance. The Western World must really be corrupted if we respect drug addicts.
