So many people have contributed videos that really helped me find the gear I wanted. I decided to contribute a little myself. Hope this helps someone know what these amazing amps sound like. Please excuse the sloppy playing and all the errors. I was trying to give people an idea of the tone, not of my skills (or lack thereof). Since this is such a touch-sensitive amp, you can really hear all my flaws, but it also helps you hear the feeling you put into it with your fingers.Guitar: Gibson Les Paul Standard (1992) with stock pups.Amp: Ceriatone Matchless DC-30 Clone. I'm playing through the EF86 side, straight into the amp, no pedals or effects.Recording: My cheap JVC digital camera. It compresses a lot, so it sounds 10 times better in real life.

Other way around. A great guitar can't make a shitty amp sound good, but a great amp can make a shitty guitar sound good.

it's too "tinny" sounding for my style.

Thanks. It's a LP Standard. I loved that guitar, I never should have sold it. I think this amp lends itself better to single-coils, but it sounds great with humbuckers too.

I like the amp, but that LP DC would make almost anything sound good.

The JTM gets a lot heavier with pedals. Even a simple clean boost pushes the JTM into gritty, smooth, warm gain. With a LP, I prefer the JTM. With fenders, I prefer the DC-30.

4. (cont). I usually play fenders (teles and strats), and it had more than enough volume and headroom. Even with this LP it has plenty of volume. This amp was so loud that I had Nik build me the Creme Brulee, which is basically a 15 watt C-30.5. This amp has better dynamics than any other amp I've ever played. It's absolutely amazing. A lot of people don't like it because you really have to be a good player or it'll expose your flaws like no other. It hits its sweet spot at high volumes.

1. Yes, I ordered it pre-asembled. It's not a super tough build, but if it's your first time building, I'd recommend a simpler amp first.2. I imagine I do. I can't tell, it's so loud that i can't tell where the distortion is coming from.3. no, this is run at full power mode.4. Depending on how hot your pups are, yes this amp is plenty loud. It's almost as loud as my 60 watt Sovtek Mig 60. I sold it because it was too loud, even at half power.

Nice tone :). I have some questions for you.1. Did you order the chassis pre assembled, if not (was it hard to assemble)2. The amp is 30 watts, your speaker is rated at 30 watts, do you get some speaker distortion.3. Do you have the amp in half power mode in the video?4. Do you think the headroom on the amp is good and loud enough for club situation?5. And does the amp have good dynamics to your playing? Thanks

hellatone from avatar (a celestion g12h30). It's a really bassy speaker, but it's punchy too, and it sounds great with this amp.
