A tall building is going to have thousands of Chinese to work there. He came from a country where there was never any earthquake! What could he care about the 1923 earthquake in Tokyo that destroyed most of the buildings except the one that Wright designed!( A traditional Chinese symetrical design.)He took a gamble on the lives of thousands of Chinese who work there! The delicate connections of the building tells the story that this a dangerous place in the event of an earthquake!dancewu(dot)net

It was only a few months ago,when CCTV framing to suppose to mrrt at the top, there was an emotional excitment among the by-standers to wait whether all the connections were to meet as expected, the newspaper reporter mentioned that all the connection work had to be done within the hours because of the thermal condition that the sun hits part of the building but not the other part..Those stories were exciting to read about, because it was like the acrobats in the circus!But this is a tall bldg.!

buddhaeye: Except when there is the next earthquake, the building would look exactly like your chinese character "door" with a crack right at the top! even a child could tell you an asymetrical building is weak to resist the tremendous earthquake force. How strong? No one even ever could measure them for sure. But you could go to the library and borrow couple books to read about the mystery subject that no expert could give you a definite answer. Therefore we have to design symetrical buildings!

If the economy continues moving at the same rate,China should overtake Japan as second in 2011 and should replace the U.S.A as the world's largest economy & superpower on earth in 2030,meaning that the U.S.A will have been the world's superpower for [90years].Great Britain was the world's biggest economy & superpower,they replaced China from Mar1736 till Nov1940 [204years]. China & India was the world's richest nation & superpower from 2500BC till March1736.
