uh huh...and why would a sprite hit cause the ship to slowly fall apart? And why study it that close when they can see them from space? Crackpot crap like that really annoys me.No, I think this theory exists more due to somebodies bias against an establishment, so they try to push the blame on some secret government experiment instead of just a simple accident from poor design because it sounds better for their slanted viewpoint of the world

Great vid, really puts it in perspective. One thing confuses me (and not being one of these conspiracy nuts foreign intelligence propagandists) I do remember a program some years back that suggested Columbia was bought down by recently observed phenomena called sprites, elves, and blue jets. The suggestion was that Columbia was deliberately flown over a thunderstorm to record the phenomena, but was hit by a discharge, and that the "foam" story was a temporary smokescreen. Anyone else see that?

first of all.. is this a conversation between two people on land?? and secondly.. wtf is with no video between 6.57 and 6.59?? i doubt the person operating the camera just decided to stop recording.. and there would have been multiple sources of video anyway.. i think someones trying to hide something.......
