To quote from the minutes:Gareth Jones, Director, Special Ombudsman Response Team (SORT) and Head of Investigations, together with Wendy Ray, Senior Counsel and Acting Deputy Ombudsman, attended Committee to provide an overview of the role of the Ombudsman and the procedure for closed meeting complaints.Special thank you to the Region of Niagara Corporate Services Committee for granting me permission to videotape the entire "closed-meeting" investigator proceedings. Above all, thanks to Niagara Mayors and Councillors for granting your citizens an independent and above all, legitimate closed-meeting investigation conducted by the Ontario Ombudsman.
