You're probably right about the anachronism. the clip I saw in the documentary looked like it was from an earlier live show. This clip was most likely filmed years later (after Blixa and Nick were buddies) as you mentioned. Now i must search for BOTH versions!

yeah, i saw that one as well, but that wasn't referring to this movie. Like i said, this was filmed long after Blixa and Nick were friends. Are you sure it was Armenia? Still though, its a fucking gorgeous song and its what got me oto this band in the first place. I want to start my own industrial type band. I'm a rel musician, though, not another faker.

The NC reference was mainly taken from the EN documentary "Listen With Pain." There are various instances in which Nick is interviewed and in one clip he mentions that the first time he ever heard EN was when "Armenia" was played on a television program. he claimed that he had never seen someone look so destroyed or convey such agony as when he heard that song.

Its true, it is. Sends shivers down my spine. But what the frigdge does NC have to do with anything? Blixa joined the birthday Party in 1983 and this wasn't released till three years later?

This track is both hautingly beautiful and chilling. I can certainly see how Nick Cave was moved the first time he saw this song featured on a television program.
