Memorial Day Tribute to members of the United States Armed Forces who now rest in peace in Arlington National Cemetery - set to the song - "Arlington" by Trace Adkins - In honor of the Fallen Heroes of the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Reserves. All gave some, some gave all. These are the men and women who bought our freedom at the price of their lives. We give thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and pray for the loved ones they left behind.Lyrics:I never thought that this is where I'd settle downI thought I'd die an old man back in my hometownThey gave me this plot of land,me and some other men, for a job well doneThere's a big white house sits on a hill just up the roadThe man inside he cried the day they brought me homeThe folded up a flag and told my mom and dad'We're pround of your son'And I'm proud to be on this paecful piece of propertyI'm on scared ground and I'm in the best of companyI'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've doneI can rest in peace, I'm one of the chosen ones, I made it to ArlingtonI remember that my daddy brought me here when I was eightWe searched all day to find out where my granddad layAnd when we finally found that crossHe said, 'son this is what it cost to keep us free'Now here I am a thousand stones away from himHe recongized me on the first day I came inAnd it gave me a chill when he clicked his heels and saluted meI'm proud to be on this peaceful piece of propertyI'm on scared ground and in the best of companyI'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've doneI can rest in peace I'm one of the chosen ones, I made it to ArlingtonAnd every time I hear twenty-one gunsI know they brought another hero home to usWe're thankful for those thankful for the things we've doneWe can rest in peace, 'cause we were the chosen onesWe made it to Arlington, yea, dust to dustDon't cry for us, we made it to Arlington

-"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American soldier. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom". God bless all who have served

JoeTake heart my son is traveling this week through Washington and he said to me that Arlington and The Wall were the only two things he wanted to see in Washington. Hmmmmm maybe I did something right? I hope so. Is nice to stop and see friends.

What are the colors of the Infantry? Baby Blue & Gold. INFANT -ry It is the kids job to defend. The youngest & most fit fight in the Infantry; the elders man the guns and horses. It is our children who pay the price. We love our children & soldiers. It is the old men who send us to war. Our children are the superb warriors, but I wish we didn't need a single one. I know 4 personally, and all are my brothers. It is a nessecary evil; I hate it-I love it. I cry at the losses.

What Is a Veteran? A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including their life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.
