It is her credit that she did a great job in singing the Bengali song - that does not make her a Bengali - she is a Gujrati. Tanuja speaks Bengali flawlessly - it does not make her a Bengali either.

Her last name Majumder sounds like Bengalee.However, the originl Bengali song was by Lata Mangeshkar who was not a bengali. Awesome voice....India has never shortage of talents.
