they didnt plan it on them exactly and they were goin to get anybody who was home it was completly random, and they only did it because they were home

that's what made the movie so scary is that fact that they didn't have a motive for doing this. They just did and proved that there are nuts out there who don't necessarily need a valid reason to perform acts of sadism

ok well to answer the last question, that's exactly what they meant. They are psychotic. It was plain and simple, they were looking to torment someone and these two were unlucky enough to "be home".

Ok with that said I have a question....how did you go to the exact house when THE MOVIE WAS FICTIONAL!!!!! It just says based on a true story to make it a little scarier. Oh, and could someone explain what they meant by "because you were home"?
