Buddy was really an awesome drummer and one of the best that the world had ever seen!Today my favorites are drummers like Johnny Rabb , Jojo Mayer , Thomas Lang , Derek Roddy and some more , they are also all awesome and have their on unique style!

thomas lang is apparently the best drummer in the world according to all the ignoramuses who say so ..

The application he gave to all those techniques was, maybe, even more shocking (besides that no one has ever drove a Jazz Big Band like him before or after). Musical and technical command of his instrument to the fullest. No, Tony Royster is definitely not "there" (although unbelievable, of course).

I really have to disagree. Tony Royster's solo when he was 12 was probably the very best kid I'ver EVER seen playing the drums. BUT, he has matured and hes become a new Dennis Chambers. His style of playing is absolutely not as memorable and unique as Buddy's was. Tony is "just" one of the dozens of awesome drummers of today. Buddy's technique was a "gift", superior to anyone ever. |
