Amen!I finally got to see "The Thin Red Line" today, on DVD. Which had 7 Oscar nominations. It appeared that Caviezel had the main role in the movie, and I loved him in it. At the end just before he was killed, standing there surrounded by Japs...Jim was so calm and so beautiful. The director remember this and this is the reason he picked Jim to play the role of Jesus in "the Passion..." He looked so calm and peaceful and so touching 'under fire." No one could have done a better job as Christ!

He´s so great! Such an amazing actor, in my opinion way too underrated. I´m still very, very disapointed at the academy that he did´nt recieve an oscar for his supreme portrayal of Jesus in Passion. At least they could´ve given him a nomination for it... that would be fair.

I've heard of Jim C. before the Passion. I saw him first in G.I. Jane and Angel Eyes. Then I saw him in a leading role of Count of Monte Cristo, which he did an excellent job on.

Prior to The Passion, I had never heard of Jim Caviezel. Since then, I've watched as many of the movies he's been in. I think I love I am David the most! He had such a small role, & it was one of the most profound movies I've seen. I watched 5 or 6 times, and got choked up every time when Joan Plowright sees the book about David's mother. I also loved Frequency. He is a fine actor, both artistically and physically.

Ever notice that when Jim C. is the leading actor his movies never make it in the big screen. You'll always see it on DVD. Bobby Jones, Unknown, and that Boat Race were all big screen movie worthy. We actually signed a petition to show "I am David" in the big screen. I believe it only came out in 28 theatre across the country.I wonder if it has something to do with his Passion movie that Hollywood is ignoring him? Because before that he was doing fine.

I actually met him once. Really, I'm not kidding! He spoke at my church, suprisingly. I got an autograph and everything.

Hes one of my favourite actors too. He should be given more leading roles.
