I dont know what you mean by "we're all headed there" though. Frankly, I like to think that people of a higher intelligence such as you and me are going nowhere near there.

pardon, I'm usually good about catching my grammatical mistakes; it just so happens that when I'm typing online I lose that ability. I'm annoyed too but there's nothing I can do about it.

We're not flaming, just trying to make the point that poor grammar is annoying. For example, you just wrote "were". You mean "we're", right. Big difference. The problem is this entire country is full of illiterate people who barely graduated high school. You should watch the movie "Idiocracy" because that's where we're all headed! Most of the people here don't get the problem because they can't tell the difference between what's right and wrong in the first place! Sad...

so were flaming the band for being creative and trying to send a point across? That right there seems petty.
ukmarcus0711 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
No YOU listen, he does not say 'dancers' - it's perfectly clear that he doesn't, hence the discussion. And Pinoy, we all get your point but that doesn't change the fact that it makes no GRAMMATICAL sense. Jeez the guy above me can't even spell "petty". WTF is "peddy"??

On the band's official website, the biography section states that Flowers is singing "Are we human, or are we dancer?" and also says that the lyrics were inspired by a disparaging comment made by Hunter S. Thompson about how America was raising a generation of dancers.

dancers are viewed as robotic things, people who value perfection above all else. So they question us, "are we human in that we have flaws or are we dancer in that we are meant to be perfect" |
