Marlene Dietrich sang this song and was anti-nazi and helped debunk a lot of nazi propaganda during the war ,and she is synonamous with this song during WW2

This song was liked by soldiers on all sides during WWII. I don't know what you want to say with your comment, but this song has nothing to do with nazism. The original text was written in WWI.

Superb! I was probably living in Morocco when Anita recorded Lili Marleen, and I had no idea. She was the last great star of songs, films, musicals, revues, television, until Social Democrat tax policy forced her to leave Sweden just in order to survive (or pay 102,5% income tax). Her fantastic career ended in a room on the French Riviera where she cares for stray cats, while she could have been the Piaf of Europe. Anita's Lili Marleen is on a par with Lale's, forget about Dietrich!
