Well, from the right angle and with the sufficient amount of players blocking his view, I think it could have been possible for the ref to mess up the ball hitting the back post for the ball hitting the front post. I would think they both make the same sound, and if you're from a bad angle with such a powerful, quick shot, you might have missed it. Even so, it was his job to be in the right position at the right time, so the fault lays on him.

it all looks very similar and the pitch lay out is basically the same but the fundemental rules are different although it is absolutely obvious american football was copied off rugby |
