Excellent video, and thank you so much for the translation. I heard Fritz Wunderlich's incredible voice for the first time on recordings when in college, having no idea that he was already deceased. I asked a German born friend for more information about him, thinking to hear more of his wonderful work, and she told me about his tragic accident. What a horrible moment! However, I still love hearing his beautiful voice, and am very grateful for the recordings that we can still enjoy.

perhaps joeocho is thinking of peter anders who died in an auto wreck, perhaps in 1954 but fritz died from the fall down the stairs not from being shot, surely and a great loss like he said WAY too soon as with schmidt who was 38 not much older. THIS VOICE WAS SO WARM TRAGIC END.

no you ppl are so damn misinformed. wunderlich died when he was thrown down the stairs drunken by one of his girlfriends. his reputation as a drunk and womanizer is what killed him. same as lanza. long live the greats!

Everyone, Wunderlich was not killed by a fall, 4 years ago the truth was released, he was shot in the head while playing a game of russian roulette, sooo sad hes my favourite to listen to
