this guy uses no foot pedals and used strings so thick that it would make the neck on his guitar boe. He would wire his guitar straight through the amp. He is and will always be the king best guitar player ever

no surf music in it's truest form is about intensity and power the power of waves pounding surf the power of the roar of thunder and nature in general that is what dick gets his energy from that you hear on the strings the power of nature which is power in it's truest form and is why he plays so intense. bands like the beach boys and jan and dean just did a bunch of watered down bubble gum stuff that people have the perception of surf music but power like this is true surf music
