yes it is.i love the beatles, kinks, brian wilson, dylan circa 65-66, smiths, stone roses, pulp, oasis and blur.these guys are of a piece. their music is inspired and it will live on, just as the beatles do 40 years on. liking oasis and blur is not mutually exclusive!! both pay homage to the beatles, kinks, the jam etc. this song is great, as is live forever and much of def maybe. great music is just great music and we should enjoy it whatever.

Go tell the millions of people who cued up for sold out oasis concerts in the 90s. Please lady I don't have time to deal with pathetic claims like this. Noel Gallagher is a song writing king. (no offence, i sound rude but oasis are my favourite band).

i have to agree, but i think blur wins the battle with oasis by the smallest amount. i also like gorillaz, franz ferdinand, green day, cake, and the good the bad and the queen. all of damon albarns bands so far are my favorites.
