This is the original and best. But hand it to Ronson for giving america another taste of the Smiths. This song is scarily good. did you know Morrissey used to be the head of the New York Dolls fan club in Britain?

I know Mark Ronson doesn't do much in the way of the songs, but, being an American, I am grateful that he brought the music he did over to the U.S. If it wasn't for "Version", I wouldn't have known such great music. So in a strange way, I am happy he recorded the songs; so I could begin listening to the Smiths, the Kaiser Chiefs, The Jam, etc. I enjoy both his rendition and the originals, but I think the originals are more unique. You can only do so much with horns.

u don't know ur living.Morrissey is GOD!when u have seen the Smiths in Glasgow Barowlands in 1984u know you have lived. Johnnny Marr is the greatest !!
