of course i like, i like almost everything schoeck wrote - and the sonata is among his best works! my favourite piece of schoeck is the song cycle LEBENDIG BEGRABEN (buried alive) for baritone and big orchestra of 1927 and, of course, that amazing opera that has a sort of revival now: PENTHESILEA of 1926...

i wish there were more things about othmar schoeck on youtube, lieder and other music - but the sonata for bass clarinet and piano is the only one...
